With the advent of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), State-based Exchanges benefit from establishing contact center services to provide information on and assistance with complex topics such as Advanced Premium Tax Credit (APTC), Qualified Health Plans (QHP), and Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) based eligibility. Our experience in providing contact centers that assist with program eligibility assistance and health plan selection make us an ideal partner for operating State-based Exchange contact centers.

In 2015, AHS was awarded a contract to operate the HealthSource RI Exchange Call Center through which assist individuals with evaluating and purchasing health plan coverage. As a proven Medicaid contractor, our experience with member education, health plan evaluation, stakeholder engagement, and call center operations prepared us well to improve the Call Center’s performance and better respond to the needs of individuals, families, Navigators, and the healthcare community. Our experience with eligibility determination and enrollment equipped us to empower callers to more seamlessly navigate the spectrum of eligibility groups and categories and effectively use their benefits.
